The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Was SO MUCH Fun

Hey everyone!

I attended the 73rd Annual West Tennessee Strawberry Festival this past week.  The weather was beautiful and the sun was shining for both of the remaining days events.  Considering that at the beginning of the week there were terrible storms that flooded much of the area, this was a miracle!

I set up my booth, table, and tent right in the heart of town – and in the middle of the parade route.   It was SO MUCH fun as I began meeting friends, family, and fans!  It’s been a busy couple of months for me.  Between performing for DuVita, LLC and the Herd Race Team and going to the festival, it’s been awesome!  I’m hoping to continue being busy and getting out to meet as many of you as I can!

NASHVILLE, TN (APRIL 28, 2010) – The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival gets underway this Sunday, May 2 in downtown Humboldt, Tennessee. This marks the 73rd time this annual celebration and parade has taken place. This years festival will feature a very special guest, Mary Elizabeth Murphy. Mary will be in attendance at the parade signing copies of her “Wild Blue Country” cd, meeting and greeting the crowd as they gather to celebrate. Look for Mary’s booth on the parade route, main street, downtown Humboldt, Tennessee.

About The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival: The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival was founded in 1934. This event is still held each year in early May bringing over 100,000 visitors annually to the city of Humboldt for parades, beauty reviews, horse shows and other events.

Me, DuVita, LLC, and Herd Racing

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to tell you a little about my day yesterday.  It was SO much fun!  I was asked by DuVita, LLC to be the entertainment for an event they were having at the Ponderosa Steakhouse in Lebanon, TN.  They are the lead sponsors of the #75 Herd Racing NASCAR Nationwide series team and they were unveiling the car in town.  On hand to sign autographs was their driver Brett Rowe.

I had a wonderful time being there with every one!  Brett Rowe is the most gracious race car driver in the world, the staff of DuVita, LLC couldn’t have been nicer and the Ponderosa Steakhouse did a fantastic job as host.

We had some technical difficulties with the equipment but that didn’t stop me from singing anyhow!

Brett told me I was “well on my way to becoming a household name”.  One of the staff members at DuVita, LLC, said I was a “cut above even the contestants on American Idol” and I “had a very bright future ahead of me in music”.

It’s always great to hear things like that because it just encourages me to keep pursuing my goals.  I signed a lot of autographs and sold a lot of Cd’s – even the manager of the Ponderosa Steakhouse bought a cd!  That was awesome and he was very nice.  Below are a couple of pictures from the event and I’ll add a couple more in the coming days.

Listen To My CD Wild Blue Country

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to upload these tracks from my debut CD “Wild Blue Country” so everyone could hear them! I really hope you like them! Things are going really well now and I’m getting more opportunities to perform live – something I really enjoy doing! I’ve added a few pictures from me on stage at the Nashville Palace a couple of weeks ago. You can find those on my Photos page. This is a new website, and as time goes on it’ll have a whole lot more information so check back often. Before too long, I’ll have a lot of things to write about and I always want to stay in contact with everyone! Thank you SO MUCH for your support and kind words!
