It’s been several weeks now, and it’s easy to forget that there are people still suffering from the effects of those horrible storms. So I wanted to do something that would remind people. It took Nashville a long time to recover for the storms and floods in 2010 – some are still trying to rebuild – so we know as well as anyone how difficult it is to come back from something like this. NASHVILLE, TN (December 16, 2010) — For the last time this year Mary Elizabeth Murphy will be a featured performer at an end of the year showcase taking place in Nashville this coming weekend. Mary will be performing several songs from her cd “Wild Blue Country” cd on Saturday December 18th at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville. This performance starts at 10:00 am.
This appearance caps a busy year for Mary which saw her performing for DuVita, LLC and the Herd Racing Team, Buffalo Wild Wings Superbowl Show, during the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival, and receiving national attention for her participation in the Colgate Country Showdown. Her unique voice and stand out personal style has helped her gain tremendous popularity in and around west Tennessee this year. This marks only the third time Mary has performed live in Nashville all year.

Several years ago I was able to go to Nashville and perform on a local TV show called Nashville Spotlight. Artist from all over the country come to Nashville to be on this show which is hosted and presented by Mike Jennings. Mike is also the guy who puts together the Nashville Palace Showcases for emerging artist and I’ve been really fortunate to be able to come and sing for him several times.
Knowing you’re on TV is a little nerve-racking at first, but once you get used to the idea it’s not so bad. I really enjoyed myself on this day and hope you enjoy this video of me singing the title cut to my cd “Wild Blue Country”
